Hemp Fibres

Used for textile and medicinal purposes, this fast-growing herbaceous species can supply both phytochemical & lignocellulosic biomass. Cannabis woody fibres are commonly used for animal bedding due to their high absorption capacity.

Hemp Bast fibres [cellulose rich] can be used as a substitute for glass, amongst other things, and is becoming increasingly more popular amongst the automotive industry. Also known for their anti-bacterial properties, Hemp fibres are also commonly used to manufacture surgical devices, anti-bacterial finishing agents & functionalised textiles.
