All About the Hemp Plant

What is Hemp?

Hemp is both the fibre and seed component of the Cannabis Sativa plant. All, fibre, protein, seeds and oil derived from the Cannabis plant have incredible beneficial properties for the human body.

In Australia, industrial hemp is a plant or any part of a plant (including seed) from the genus Cannabis, that has been specifically bred to have tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) levels in the leaves and flowering heads of not more than 1%.

Why choose Hemp?

There is a reason why Hemp is so far up our ingredient list and it’s quite simple. It’s our hero ingredient because (like the sun for our planet) it’s the one that puts in the most work!

From nutritionally beneficial foods like salad dressings, raw treats, and even beverages; natural skincare alternatives like exfoliants, moisturisers, serums, and balms; the miracle plant seems to provide exponentially for the human. What more could we ask for?

Why is Hemp good for our Planet?

Our Planet Needs Hemp. |  Hemp is sustainable, bio-durable, durable, and a very versatile plant; the material can provide us with the most essential day-to-day items at a lower cost to the environment.

As the hemp plant grows, it remediates the soil and remarkably changes the structure of the soil for the better. Look at the Chenobyl disaster in Russia; and the effects of planting Cannabis to regenerate the heavily contaminated soil, and that’s just one example.

Δ Every time you purchase a Hemp product, know that you are contributing to the efforts for a more sustainable future ahead.

Is Hemp and Marijuana the same?
No. Australian grown Industrial hemp has little (less than 1%) or no THC present (the psychoactive component of Cannabis). There are over 2,000 varieties of cannabis of which the vast majority are classified as industrial hemp.
Is Hemp legal in Australia?

Hemp Seed oil, seeds, fibre and protein are all 100% legal for sale and consumption in Australia.

“Hemp seed oil is the oil obtained by cold pressing the ripened fruits (seeds) of a plant in the genus Cannabis. Hemp seed oil does not contain cannabinoids, such as CBD, apart from trace levels that may be present from inadequate cleaning of the seeds.”
